Lately I am getting this Error 999 pop-up message when checking my e-mail. After popping up 2-3 times, I am usually able to see my new messages. However, what is worse, as of today I can not access My Yahoo Groups! I get yet another Error 999. I have e-mailed Yahoo, but their solutions are rather not doing a thing. I have scanned the computer numerous times now, updated the definitions, etc., and other that one or two tracking cookies that seem to be there almost every time, I don't seem to have other problems of that kind. I understand that the Error 999 is some kind of flagging of my IP by Yahoo. Most finds on Google relating to this error, however, date bake to 2005 or so. Not sure thus that it is still the same issue, and none of the "fixes" I found have worked. What now?

Not sure whether it worked itself out or whether just disconnecting and reconnecting the wireless connection did the trick, but 999 seems to be gone - for now . Does disconnecting and re-connecting give a new IP? Andrea
