Yet another question to Chinese Characters, e.g., to be used in PowerPoint presentations or Word for school projects. I have ot my computer, and so does my son and we know how to access it. So I tried to helpa friend to get the same on her computer: XP, Service Pack 2 or 3, but I think 3. But when she goes to the Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options, the Languages Tab s167.photobucket.com/albums/u126/andreawisc/?action=view¤t=SASITHelp.jpghas no check mark next to the "Install Asian..." (the screen shot is from mine). For me, that area is "grayed" so I wouldn't be able to click anything. She can click the choice, but it asks her for the XP CD. Is there any way around this? She can't remember having a disk. I looked on the internet, but all I can find always instructs with having the CD. And teachers tend not to believe that someone may not have that, because you guys are too good in making it all available and a breeze to use... no need for them to figure out the update, upgrade, undo-errors-I-made-in-the-past things... All you need to tell Sabine is to see me and bring an empty CD and we'll get her moving forward.
