I used Photobucket for the first time, and I decided to use it for sharing the field trip photos so that my son;s teacher could upload them to the class web-site. I now see the quality there, and also size is much lower on the web-site. Suggestions on what I did wrong or should have done differently.
Initially I was going to just e-mail the photos, but the file was huge.
Thx, Andrea

Hi Andrea, Yes Photobucket will reduce the quality of your photos somewhat in order for it to load faster when people are viewing it over the web. Without resizing photos it might take a few minutes Vs a few seconds for a web page to load when you visit a website. If you intended to send a photo via email and wanted it compressed in such a way and you dont have a program to do it in, Microsoft has a free tool called Image Resizer that can do the trick. It's part of the power toys for XP where it is a simple right click on the photo that you wish to resize into a size that is suitable for many purposes like handphone or web or even desktop backgound. You can download XP power Toys here www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspxEnjoy. Cheers Faizul
